Liberty of London is set to open a new store at Westfield Stratford City at the end of May. The iconic Regent Street store will sell fashion for men and women as well as accessories including items boasting the famous Liberty floral prints. And there’s a treat in store for customers visiting in the first two weeks of the grand opening!

The new Liberty store is set to open on 31 May and surprisingly, it will be the first ever ‘satellite’ Liberty store to open outside of the landmark building on Regent Street. Once again, this new store will reinforce Stratford’s image as a shopping and cultural destination.

Liberty Westfield Stratford City will be based on The Street and will certainly be an attraction for visitors from the continent where the Liberty florals are extremely popular and represent British Fashion just as much as the Burberry patterns.

The new Liberty Westfield Stratford City will sell fashion for men, women, children, accessories, stationery, scarves and ties and beauty products. The shop will also sell the highlight of Liberty’s 2012 print collaboration products from British stalwart footwear brand Dr Martens, heritage clothing brand Barbour and international sportswear brand Nike. Further artist and brand collaboration will then be launched at the same time in the Regent Street store and the Stratford Store.

What to expect on opening day? The opening of the new Liberty store will certainly be an event to celebrate and visitors can expect a range of competition and goodies. Visitors to the store in the first two weeks will be offered the opportunity to win their favourite Liberty print item. To take part in this competition, all you have to do is just tweet a picture of the item to @LibertyLondon to be in the running.

Visitors will also find two Queen’s guards in full regalia outside of the store. Inside, they will be able to play the beauty queen game on the giant retro photobooth – customers can pose to their hearts content, with the best pictures published on the Liberty London Facebook Page and becoming part of the ‘I ? Liberty’ summer campaign!

Time Out London have partnered with Liberty on the store which will feature a special Time Out-curated area of products. The products are made from exclusive prints of Time Out covers depicting London’s cultural melting pot. Expect to find cushions, iPhone cases, mugs, notebooks and T-shirts, all celebrating swinging London 2012 as well as the celebrated Time Out official guide books. Within Time Out’s area you’ll also find an interactive hotspot where customers can surf iPads packed with the latest information from the Time Out London app. Customers can download suggested itineraries and get updates as to everything that’s happening on a daily basis.

It looks like the iconic West End store – and its talented managing director Ed Burstell – are set to turn Stratford into one of the most fashionable parts of London.
