Eating out at Stratford City? As well as 300 new shops, the new shopping centre will also offer a great choice of places to eat out. There will be over 70 places to eat – new restaurants, bars, cafés, patisserie, pubs and much more. Here’s a selection of what’s on offer at Stratford City:

As well as offering a brand new market, the Great Eastern Market, there will be four distinctive areas to visit for a meal, a drink or a snack. These areas are the external Southern Boulevard and Chestnut Plaza, The Loft, The food Court and The Balcony.

The Loft – The Loft is a family dining area overlooking the Central Arcade, close to the Vue Cinema.  The restaurants in this area will cater for everyone’s taste ranging from Italian to Burgers.

Strada – great quality, simple, freshly prepared pizza, pasta and risotto served in a stylish contemporary surrounding.
Giraffe – brunch, burgers, stir-fries and salads in a friendly atmosphere.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen – American style burger restaurant.
Wagamama – Japanese, Noodle, Oriental food in a casual relaxing atmosphere. Great for large groups and for couples alike.
Las Iguanas – Latino, South American offering amazing cocktails
Jom Makan – freshly cooked Malaysian food including noodles, rice, salads and soups and traditional Malaysian favourites including chicken and beef satay, Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai. Vegetarian options available.
Pizza Express – Italian, Pizza, Pasta and great desserts. Great for birthday parties and large groups as well as families.
TGI Fridays – American food including burgers and steaks.
Nandos – Chicken restaurant with African and Portuguese influence including Portuguese peri-peri chicken. One of Britain’s most popular restaurants, great for groups and families.

The Balcony – a café court area

Tossed- Café, salad bar. Tossed is the healthy alternative when it comes to eating out. If you want to enjoy eating out while making sure that your meal is balanced and full of fruit and veg, then Tossed is a great alternative. Tossed offer great salads and wraps, many vegetarian offers, lean protein and good carbs including seeded bread and low GI rice.
Comptoir Libanais – Lebanese restaurant
YO! Sushi – This Japanese sushi bar lets you choose from the moving colour-coded dishes on the ‘kaiten’ (conveyor belt passing in front of the customer).
Franco Manca – This is real pizza in a pure Italian style. The team is mostly from Naples, the ingredients are organic and the wood oven produces the best pizza in London. If you’ve ever travelled to Rome or Naples, you will know exactly what to expect.

The external Southern Boulevard and Chestnut Plaza with views over the Olympic Park. This area will be a great place to enjoy an evening out.

Balans – Brasserie style in a casual atmosphere offering modern cuisine with a great selection of cocktails. Breakfast specialities include eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes or traditional English breakfast. Pubs at Stratford City
The Cow – The Cow is actually the closest pub to the Olympic Park so it will be a great place to meet up and enjoy a meal or a drink before going to an event. The pub is spread over two floors and will offer a great selection of traditional pub food including burgers and fish and chips. The gastropub will be run by Geronimo Inns/Young & Co.
Tap East – a great pub for beer lovers. It will also be the first brewery in the UK to be based in the heart of a shopping centre. Expect a great selection of bottled beers, pale ale and stout brewed on site served with hearty pub food.

Other venues
All Star Lanes – All Star Lane is a 14 alley bowling in Stratford City and also offers great food and drinks. The list of American classic cocktails includes Manhattans, Juleps and Mojitos.
Aspers Casino – The casino will offer a bar area. The Sky Bar will be a smart and relaxing bar overlooking the Olympic park with a great selection of premium Champagnes.
Vue Cinema – all your favourite cinema treats.

The restaurants at Stratford City can be easily accessed by public transport using the central line, jubilee line, DLR, local buses or overground trains.
