Travelodge has announced that it will open 41 new hotels in 2012 for a grand total of 3,610 new rooms across the UK. This includes a brand new Travelodge Hotel in Stratford, East London, close to the new Olympic Park and Westfield Stratford shopping center.
Hotel accommodation in Stratford is increasing to cope with the expected increase in demand next summer. Later this month, a new Premier Inn will open in Stratford to capitalise on London 2012. Guests can already book to enjoy the hotel facilities and the proximity to Stratford City.
The Holiday Inn group has been confirmed as the official hotel services provider to the London Olympics in 2012. The hotel chain will also help the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) by providing experienced staff to assist in the operation of the Athletes’ Village.
