The redevelopment of Stratford will bring a welcomed surprise to beer lovers as Stratford will get a new pub and brewery. The Tap East pub and brewery will be based within the new Stratford City shopping centre and offer a wide selection of bottled beers and beers brewed on site.
The new Tap East pub will open on Tuesday 13 September with the launch of the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre and will be run by the Utobeer team who also run The Rake in Southwark near Borough Market.
What to expect at Tap East?
The brewery-pub will offer a great selection of bottled beers with close to 150 names to choose from, pale ale, stouts and experimental beers brewed on site as well as traditional pub food. Customers will even be able to see the brewery from the bar. It will be a relaxing place to stop for a drink while shopping at Westfield Stratford City and a great place to try new beers and enjoy the atmosphere of this unusal pub.
The Tap East pub and brewery will join The Cow, the other pub run by Geronimo Inns (Young & Co.) situated by the Olympic Park at Stratford City.
